Here are ways you can make your favourite alcohol drinks lower in carbs by simply using low or no carb mixers.

Cuba Libre (Rum and Coke)

Combine 60mls of white rum with 14mls of fresh lime juice in a tall glass filled with ice. Top with sugar free coke and garnish with a lime wedge.

Moscow Mule

This simple classic combines 60mls of unflavoured vodka with a squeeze of lime juice before being topped off with diet ginger beer or diet ginger ale.

Gin and Tonic

Simply combine 60mls of unflavoured gin with a low carb tonic and a squeeze of lemon.

Martini

A martini is a cocktail made with gin and dry vermouth and garnished with an olive and/or a lemon twist. Simply combine 60mls of gin with 1 tablespoon of dry vermouth and a little ice together or put them in a cocktail shaker to combine. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Serve with an olive on a cocktail stick or a twist of lemon.
