Make and share these tasty BBQ Chicken Wings!

  • 1.8kgs chicken wing pieces
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup chicken stock
  • ¼ cup reduced sugar ketchup (we used Heinz 50% less sugar tomato sauce)
  • 3 tablespoons Italian salad dressing
  1. Add the chicken wing pieces to a crock pot / slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the chicken with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Add the chicken stock and cover.
  3. Cook on high for 1 hour and 30 minutes.
  4. Remove chicken from the slow cooker and place on a baking tray in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet.
  5. Place chicken under the grill for 2-3 minutes to allow skin to crisp. Keep a close eye on the chicken as it can burn easily.
  6. In a small bowl, stir together the low sugar ketchup and Italian salad dressing until smooth. Brush mixture evenly among the chicken pieces.
  7. Place the coated chicken under the grill and watch carefully for the sauce to caramelize, about 2 minutes.
  8. Remove from the oven and serve immediately.
